Korean telecom operator SK Telecom announced that it will sign a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Asian luxury brand operator Bluebell so as to seize new opportunities with their competitive edge in the ICT and luxury retail industries, reported the Korea Harald on April 19. Under the agreement, both parties will jointly build an O2O (Offline-to-Online) platform to enhance customer's shopping experience and develop luxury products. On top of that, SKT's Smart Signage, a cloud-based digital signage platform with IoT-based location-tracking solution, will be introduced to Bluebell's stores and products with an aim to increase customer loyalty as customers can find lost goods pre-installed with IoT chips and sensors.
